School Finance and Economics of Education (Open Rank) The Department of Educational Leadership and Policy Studies at Indiana University seeks applications for a tenure-track position in school finance/economics of education in the educational leadership program. This nationally ranked unit has a deep commitment to social justice, high quality research, field connections, and the preparation of exemplary school leaders. We seek outstanding candidates with research and teaching interests related to K-12 finance, economics, and education policy. We are particularly interested in individuals with one or more of the following attributes: demonstrated research skills and accomplishments, success in obtaining external research grants and contracts, expertise in quantitative research methods, demonstrated excellence in teaching graduate students, work with education policy at the national or state levels, and work with K-12 schools. Preference will be given to candidates eligible for the rank of professor or associate professor, but exceptional candidates at all ranks will be considered. The successful candidate will be expected to conduct research on issues pertaining to K-12 finance, economics, and educational leadership and policy; to teach finance and economics courses in the educational leadership doctoral, master’s, and licensure programs; to teach a microeconomics course in the education policy studies program; to direct doctoral dissertations; and to advise graduate students. The individual will have responsibilities across the IU core campus that spans Bloomington and Indianapolis. In addition to a faculty appointment in educational leadership, the successful candidate may work with complementary initiatives housed in one of the School’s centers, such as the Center for Evaluation and Education Policy, the Center for Research and P-16 Collaboration, or the Center for Urban and Multicultural Education. A doctorate (Ed.D. or Ph.D.) in an appropriate field is required. Screening of applications will begin on , and continue until the position is filled.
